Dear WILA community,
We will be holding a virtual AGM (Annual General Meeting) on February 13th at 7:30 p.m. via Teams.( invite below) All are welcome to attend. This meeting is your time to voice any concerns, give suggestions or simply to know what is on the horizon. While we always welcome new ideas, please remember that the committee is made up of volunteers trying to keep the program running, improving and growing. We would love to have many people help out this upcoming year as there will be a lot going on.
The agenda is as follows;
Open Positions and election:
Open Executive Positions
As President and Vice-President heads of the executive committee whose sons are aging out of Junior soon, we feel that it is important that the two positions which are up for election be filled by keen parents who have a son or daughter on the lower end of the age spectrum. We will help guide the new President and Vice President through the transition period and continue to help out on the committee.
President (2 year mandate):
The position of President is up for election, currently held by Sandy Infilise.
Vice-President (2 year mandate):
The position of Vice-President is up for election, currently held by Phil Legault.
Treasurer: Vacant Open Position
Positions Not Up For Election (In 2nd year of 2 year mandate)
Technical Director: Ken Cave
Registrar: Caroline Marion
Secretary: Anita Slopack
*** Communication officer ***
We are in desperate need of someone who would like to be in charge of communication. This person would be in charge of social media communications, checking the WILA email and updating information on the Website (RAMP). This is not an executive position therefore does not require a vote. This can be a shared responsibility if you would like to take it on with a friend.
If you are interested in volunteering in some capacity or would be interested in running for one of the open positions, please send an email regarding your intentions to sandy@westislandlacrosse.com or Phil@westislandlacrosse.com
Sincerely,
Sandy Miron
On behalf of the WILA Committee.
